Basic Steps to Steam the Milk for Latte Art

I do love coffee, and my favorite kind of coffee is the latte which is smooth and smells really good. If there is a perfect latte art on the top of the latte, I will be pleasant. However, when it comes to making latte art, there are lots of people who consider it a big problem. Practice is quite important, but you should learn about the basic steps initially.

To freeze the milk in advance is one of the basic steps, since the cold milk could give you time to steaming it, which is quite important for make the stiff cream. It means that you need to put the milk into the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before you steaming it.

Pour the cold milk into the pitcher. And the position of the steam wand in the milk is quite important, since it decided the quality of the cream that you make. You could lower the pitcher to change the steam wand’s position, and you have to keep the steam wand stay 1 cm away from the surface of the milk.

By using the stainless steel kitchen thermometer, you should find the right position and steam the milk until the milk reach 65 degrees. You could easily tell the temperature of the milk from the thermometer, so the thermometer is quite important, especially for the green hand.

Don’t forget to clean the steam wand with the cheap towels which should be completely clean. The steam wand is stained with the milk, so the bacteria can be easily thrive on this situation. There is no doubt that the towel should be washed regularly.
