What You Should Know About Growing Plants Inside

As much as light or fertilizers, ventilation is one of the most important parameters in indoor cannabis cultivation. This will allow the plant to ensure all necessary gas exchanges (photosynthesis, respiration, ..), to remove the heat from the light bulbs, to manage the climate better and, therefore, to fortify the plants.

The ventilation system for plants is composed of at least two or three complementary elements: the air extractor, the air movement fan and often the plant growing lamp.

Which extractor do I choose for my marijuana crop?

The extractor will be useful to renew the air in the space of culture and mainly to regulate the climate. This is the most important element of ventilation.
The power of the extractor must be adapted to the size of the culture space and to the light output used. The stronger the light output the more the extractor should be ... It is a matter of complementing them perfectly. There are several rules to calculate the power of the extractor according to the space of culture, but none of them take into account the different factors: the light power used on the plant pots, the volume of the crop space and the outside temperature.

It is important to adapt the size of the fan to that of the plants. It is contraindicated, to impose a direct ventilation to young seedlings or cuttings, since that could dehydrate the young and fragile foliage. During the first fifteen days of plant life, the absence of air "remover" can be forgiven or used indirectly (by blowing it against the wall of the crop space). Later on, as plants grow, the more powerful the ventilator that removes the air. A good idea is to get a fan with speed control.
